Kirsten and I took Ethan and Odie and met Cheerie and Hazel out at Emigrant Lake for a picnic and a swim. We waded out to Goose Poop Island (hahaha) and it was so nice (other than the excessive amounts of goose poop). The temp was at least 10 degrees cooler than on shore and it was so shady. Kirsten and Cheerie took the kids out in the water (I'm not a huge fan of water I can't see through) and they loved it!!! Odie, however, was very nervous having the kids out in the water. She watched them like Chris wishes she watched ducks and geese and kept swimming out to check on them.
