We had a very nice Christmas this year. My Dad and Tonia came over on Christmas Eve for deep fried turkey which was delicious! They spent the night in our camper so that they could be there for Ethan's first view of the LARGE pile of gifts that came in the night. Christmas morning brought so much excitement for Ethan that he completely forgot about breakfast (this has never happened). He had a great time opening his gifts and helping to open everyone else's as well. After a brunch of deep fried french toast and poached eggs my Dad and Tonia headed home and we headed down to my Mom's ranch - apparantly Santa knew we were going to be there so he dropped a few gifts down her chimmney too. We showed up to delicious french dip sandwiches (my favorite!) and then Ethan played the part of gift distributor... until he came upon his Thomas track set - then we didn't hear a peep from him for 2 hours!! The kid loves trains!!!! We had a super moist ham dinner (sans special mustard, Mom will have to get on that) and then spent the night in the loft. We had leftover ham steaks and potatoes for breakfast - yum, and then went for a walk in the crunchy snow to see the chickens and the goats and horses. Mom got 2 large white fluffy Maremma livestock guard dogs and they are so sweet with Ethan. They walk right with him and keep him away from any potential dangers. Then we headed home to feed our dog crew and play with all of Ethan's new toys.
Merry Christmas everyone!!!
