I had a doctors appointment, that many of you knew about, on Monday. I know I promised to post a video of the heartbeat but I forgot the camera. Pregnancy brain is hitting me pretty hard lately and I am lucky if I remember anything at all. We got some odd news at the appointment. It seems that while the baby looks very healthy and has a strong heartbeat it is much smaller than it should be for the dates it should have been concieved. We're not sure exactly what this means yet, whether it is small (which could be scary) or whether I didn't ovulate according to standard cycles and the baby is much younger than we thought. My doctor has ordered a non-standard ultrasound for April 21st to get a better picture of the development and therefore the age of the baby. There will be pictures from that ultrasound for me to scan in to show you so keep an eye out for them. Basically we're doing a wait and see, and at this point assuming the best possible outcome will occur.
Other news is Ethan had his first haircut!!! Don't worry - I didn't have much taken off. He still has his beautiful wild crazy red curls. They're just a little more controllable now and the frizzy ends are gone. I do have an envelope with several little curls in it though - because there will probably come a day where he wants a daddy haircut and as much as I'm dreading it, I'll probably have to let him do what he wants to his hair.
Anyhow - that's all for now. Thanks for checking in.

I don't know if it helps but my Dr told me the same thing. They told me I was at least a month behind what I thought I was. It wasn't until later in the preg that they started to understand I was right on when I was due. Good luck
Hillbill, that was so nice of you, as usual, to remember George on his birthday. You guys have always been just like famiy to us, and I'm so pleased that you and Mackenzie have become friends. I hope you have a wonderful birthday in two days. We're going over to Newport with the boys to watch the police basketball games. It should be fun. Geordan thinks they are going to get beaten early on, but the other guys have high hopes. I hope Shane and Mackenzie can still go. I offered to them that maybe we all sleep together in the same motel, sort of like that movie something, something Ted and Alice. ha ha We'll see what happens. Hope all goes well on your test day at the doctors. Love, Maria
