Brookings

The sun may have been out but the wind was whipping!

Ethan's favorite thing to do was scoop sand and chuck it into the tide pools, making big splashes!!

A friend of ours got his deployment papers to head to Iraq so we headed over to Brookings to say goodbye and good aim (:

We camped at Harris Beach State Park. We had a great campsite with ocean views (I reserved ahead, C-3 if you want to try to get it). Though the Gray Whales are migrating we didn't see any, but we did see sea stars, hermit crabs and misc other tide pool creatures. Don't make fun of mine and Ethan's mud boots - we both hate sand in our shoes, and it was way too cold for bare feet!!
